Sandra Dimitrova, the creative force behind THE Sändi SHOP, established her handmade jewelry brand in 2021 in Lund, Sweden. Her designs exude a modern elegance, blending refined aesthetics with a playful spirit. Influenced by striking shapes and the vibrant colors of the seasons, her collections feature a wide range of tones, textures, and styles. THE Sändi SHOP offers lightweight polymer clay earrings, finished with stainless steel or 925 Sterling Silver that is both nickel- and lead-free, making them ideal for those with sensitive ears. 

 

WHAT IS POLYMER CLAY?

Polymer clay is a versatile modeling material made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) combined with other additives that give it a clay-like texture. It's popular among crafters and artists for several reasons. Polymer clay is soft and pliable, allowing it to be easily shaped, molded, and sculpted into various forms. Once shaped, polymer clay is baked in a regular oven at a low temperature (usually around 265°F or 130°C) for a specific time. This process hardens the clay, making it durable and long-lasting. Most brands are non-toxic, making them safe for use by children and for creating items like jewelry and toys.

 

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR JEWELRY

If you need to clean your polymer clay jewelry, use a little acetone on a cotton swab and rub gently. You can also use a cotton swab dipped in a soapy solution to spot clean. Rinse the area with a cloth dampened with plain water to remove any soap residue. Pat the item dry.

If your polymer clay items are finished with a sealant or glaze like resin, use a micro fiber cloth to gently rub the dirty spot.
